Exciting News

Spectrum Counselling has a new name, Spectrum Therapeutic Solutions, capturing all that we do to help people live to their fullest potential. We offer mental health and occupational therapy services to our communities. Our focus is to assist people to acquire the skills to better manage life circumstances and make better informed decisions through cost-effective, quality treatment.

New location: With roots dating back to the 1990s, Spectrum has a new location in downtown Dartmouth. Conveniently located at 37 Wentworth Street, Unit 104. The clinic is close to public transit, just up from the ferry terminal, parking and many other health and community services.

New Look: Our logo continues to speak of transformation of the individual. Keeping with the times it has been updated to capture the name change and modern fonts. 

About Spectrum Therapeutic Solutions: Founded in 1989 as an occupational health service it grew to include therapeutic counselling in 2005. Founder Felicia Burchell has launched this expansion to be able to “do more, for more… knowing from experience we must treat the full individual.” Spectrum strives to meet individuals where they are at mentally and physically and map out treatment plans to achieve results helping individuals, families and communities become stronger and healthier.

About our founder: Felicia graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 1989 and from Acadia University with a Master of Education (Counselling) in 2005.  She is a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists, the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia, the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT). In 2021 she was elected to the Board of Directors of the NSCCT.
